Torrumbarry, Victoria

Located approximately 25km North West of Echuca, Torrumbarry is a small, rural community on the Murray River.

Torrumbarry is mostly known for it's spectacular Murray River and its adjacent natural parklands filled with box and red gum forests

Up until the early 1970's many privately owned riverside shacks and houses could be found along the river bends between Torrumbarry Headworks and the Torrumbarry Weir. These have since been compulsorily removed or demolished. The Torrumbarry Weir has created a broad and slow moving river between Echuca and Torrumbarry which is a great attraction to water skiers.
